Overall, the highest proportion of female members attended parliament in German, while the percentage of female members who worked in the same sector in the UK was lowest in the given years.
In terms of female members, less than 5% of female workers worked in parliament in the UK during the year of 2000, and this figure climb significantly to almost 25% in 2012. Similarly, Belgium saw a noticeable increase in the percentage of female workers from 18% to 24% over a period of 12 years. However, the portion of female workers who took part in parliament in Germany was around 35% in 2000, which decreased slightly to 34% in 2004, before increasing dramatically 38% after 8 years.
For the remaining countries, the figure for female members who attended parliament in France rose extremely from 25% to more than 30% between 2000 and 2012. After that, there was a surprising growth in the portion of female members in Italy from 28% in 2000 to 37% in 2012, a rise of 9% female members.
