The bar chart provides the percentage of teachers of both genders teaching six different types in educational system in the United Kingdom in 2010. Overall, more female teachers teached nursery/pre-school and primary school than male teachers while more male teachers teached in university education than female teachers.
As can be seen, the perentages of teachers teaching in nursery/pre-school and primary school were much larger than the percentage of male teachers. It was roughly 95% women teachers in nursery/pre-school while there was just roughly 5% men teachers; in pre-school the percentage of women teachers was around 90%, which was larger than 10% men teachers.
On the other hand, the percentage of male teachers passed over the percentage of female teachers in university education, there was around 70% male teachers compared to roughly 30% female teachers. Moreover, the percentage of teachers of both genders in college education was the same, about 50%. The disparity between the percentage of teachers in secondary school and private training institute was insignificant.
