It is important to note that watching TV is the second most popular and equally preferred by young people in all these four countries.
Turning to remaining activities, board games and reading, in turn, lead the third and last position in all surveyed countries, except Scotland. There is a marked difference between Wales and Scotland, with the former being 30%, double that of the latter. England and Ireland had a lower rate by 5 and 10% respectively compared to Wales. The final activity in the survey, reading, had the most proportion in Scotland with 25%. All the other nations recorded 10% participants for this activity, except England where it stood at 20%.
