Compared to that, local websites users make up only 12% of the total in Australia and 14% of the total in New Zealand.
The majority of people shops online because of lower prices, with 59% of consumers in Australia and 51% of consumers in New Zealand, whereas 23% of customers in Australia and 13% of customers in New Zealand say that shopping online is more convenient. People who shop online because of a larger range of choice account for 16% (Australia) and 34% (New Zealand) of the total, while people who state that they have no reasons to shop online make up 2% of the total in both countries.
