The given pie charts provide data on the average age rages in two different countries- Yemen and Italy in 2000 and in 2050.
Overall, it is evident that, both countries’ citizens are predicted to get older over 50 year period. The population of Yemen was younger in 2000 and it is predicted to stay this way in 2050.
In 2000, almost the half of the Yemen population was under 14 years old, while this rate was only 14.3% for Italians. The proportion of people of Yemen over 60 years was just 3.6%. However, approximately a quarter of the citizens of Italy were above 60. The remaining percentage (46.3%) of Yemeni people contained the age group from 15 to 59 years old and 61.6% of Italians, which was the largest proportion.
In 2050, it is predicted that, in Yemen and Italy, people under 14 will witness a decline, to 37% and 11.5%, respectively. There will be a significant growth in the rate of over 60 years old in Italy, to 42.3% and in Yemen it will increase only to 5.7%. While 15-59 years will see a rise to 57,3% in Yemen, it will fall down to 46.2% in Italy.
