The pie charts show academic records regarding the percentage of degrees granted in four majors at National University in 1990, 2000 and 2010. Overall, a steady increase was observed in the percentage of students receiving computer science degrees, in contrast to declining figures for Business ones, making the former the most popular study field in 2010.
In 1990, computer science and business graduates were equally granted certificates, both accounting for 30% each. The percentage of computer science graduates grew steadily to 40% in 2000 and 45% in 2010, making this major increasingly popular over time to have the largest percentage of graduates in 2010. In stark contrast, the figure for business faculty graduates experienced a remarkable drop to 15% in 2010 when it ranked last in the chart.
The second largest proportion of graduates (25%) majored in medicine, while the lowest percentage (15%) graduated from the faculty of law in both 1990 and 2010. Minor changes took place in 2000 when a decline of 5% was observed for law graduates whose proportion then rose back to the initial level, at 15% in 2010 and was reflected in a fleeting 5% growth in the figure for their Medicine counterparts in 2000.
