The bar charts illustrate information about online purchases of concert, cinema, and theater tickets by people in two age groups in three countries and how tickets are bought via the Internet.
Overall, there were huge differences between the choices of the two age groups in Australia, the UK, and Malaysia. It is also evident that the ways people got their tickets were not the same.
In Australia and the UK, about 55% of people aged 25 to 44 favored buying tickets through the Internet, while the over-65 group had lower percentages, with nearly 45% and 60%, respectively. It is also noticeable that online tickets were less popular with the 25 to 44 age group in Malaysia, where about 35% chose this kind of purchase. Moreover, people aged over 65 in this country had the same proportion as UK, at 40%.
About the means of access used by Australians, British and Malaysians to buy tickets online, a large proportion preferred computers, with generally 60%, around 63%, and almost 65%, respectively. Additionally, laptops were relative popular among people from Australia and Malaysia, at approximately 45% for both nations. However, in the UK, this is not the preferred option (30%). Similarly, a small proportion use mobile phones in the three countries, around 23% in Australia and the UK and over 30% in Malaysia.
