Overall, travel by car is the preferred method of transportation, chosen by the majority of people for getting to work. However, taking children to school and for business are also popular reasons for choosing a car. A small portion of residents claim this form of travel for shopping and carrying out leisure activities. Car transport is seconded by LRT (light rail transit), which is followed by an equal split between commute via bus and taxi.
It has been recorded that 45% of all citizens opt for travelling by car, of which 55% primarily use it for commuting to work. Just below half of these citizens – 45% and 40% – say they travel by car for business work and to drop their children off at school, respectively. Finally, 15% of people equally claim they require a car for shopping and fun activities.
The next most popular form of transport is by LRT, standing at 35%. This metric is followed by a minor 10% each for commute via bus and taxi.
