Two diagrams demonstrate the process of producing cement and concrete.
Overall, the production of cement includes multiple steps, such as crushing the stones, mixing and heating. Similarly to this, concrete production also includes mixing, however this process does not require heat.
Generally, the first step in creating cement is placing limestone and clay in a machine that crushes them into small pieces. After that, the powder is put into the mixer, and next into a special rotating machine that is also heated. Next step is placing the mixture into the grinder, to make sure that there are no big pieces of stone or clay left. Finally, the concrete is ready to be packaged into large bags.
Generally, the process of making concrete starts by creating a mix, that consists of approximately 50% gravel, 15% cement, 25% sand and around 10% of water. After adding all the ingredients into a huge concrete mixer, the machine is turned on. The last step is to take the mixed concrete out of the mixer.
