The process provides the steps that need to be taken to produce cocoa beans.
Overall, the entire process can be broken down into three main steps, beginning with picking and drying, then pressing and ending with multiple products resulting.
In the first step, beans are harvested from the field, dried and then shelled. After that, the next step would observe the application of force onto dried beans, which aims at producing cocoa liquor. Then this liquor undergoes two further processes where one involves further pressing to create cocoa cake and cocoa, while the other leads to the production of industrial chocolate through refining and the addition of the pressed cocoa and sugar.
In the final step, the cocoa cake is ground into the cocoa powder before it becomes the final product that would be sold for customers or used in the manufacture of cakes, drinks and other food products. Whereas, the refined chocolate is entered into a further process to bring chocolate products directly to consumers, completing the entire process of bean collection.
