The given picture illustrates the process of recycling aluminium drinks cans.
As can be inferred from the diagram, the recycling process consists of four major stages in total, commencing with the collection of used cans from gathering areas and culminating in their reuse as beverage containers in automotive drinks machines.
In the initial phase, the used cans are gathered at a collection point before being sorted into two different categories based on their material. After the classifying process has been finished, these used alminium cans that satisfy recycling standards are loaded onto trucks and delivered for further steps. The next stage takes place at the recycling factory where the cans are crushed into small pieces and formed into blocks.
Subsequently, these blocks are placed at the aluminium recycling plant that equipped with specialized machines for making new cans. They are melted at high temperatures to be into liquid and then added into moulds to be turned into new aluminum bars. Following this step, the new aluminum bars are rolled to become thinner before being processed into new cans. Finally, they are filled with drinks and transported to drinks machines in which they are displayed for sale to customers.
