The two diagrams illustrate the changes in Liverton docks from 1980 until now.
During this time, it is noticeable that the ports have transformed a lot.
In the eighth decade of the 20th century, Liverton was the territory where ships could transport various goods from one location to another. Besides two cranes and three warehouses alongside these docks, this area did not have other constructions.
In contrast, more than forty years later, Liverton ports became a new ship museum with multiple places – where visitors can spend time, such as an education centre, sailing club, playgrounds for children, parking zone, hotel and apartments. Also, there is a bridge with a barrier that prevents flooding, so people can freely move from one side to another. Furthermore, an education centre and apartments replaced repositories, which worked around four decades ago. The case of a hotel and sailing club is even more unique, as these buildings were designed and constructed from absolute zero.
