The diagram illustrates the process of making honey in small-scale commercial production.
Overall, the process consists of 11 steps and is divided into 2 parts: bee and human phases. It starts with gathering honey and finishes by selling it.
In the bee phase, the first step is gathering the nectar from the flowers and then carrying it back to the hive. In the hive, the honey is deposited in wax cells. The bees then dry the honey using their wings. The last step is sealing the cell with wax to keep the substance clean.
In the human phase, the first step is to gather honeycombs and then collect the honey by pressing the combs. This spet is followed by pouring honey into the sump tank, where it is heated to 45–50 Celcius. Then honey flows to the sieve tank to remove dirt and other impurities. The next step is running through the settling tank, where it rests for 2-4 days before being drained into jars. The last step is to transport it for sales.
