The four pie charts illustrate the feedback from undergraduate and postgraduate students regarding the range of books and non-printed material available in a university library.
Overall, postgraduates evaluated the range of books more positively than undergraduates, whereas undergraduates were more satisfied with non-printed materials. In both categories, satisfactory was a common response, but the proportions varied markably between two groups.
In terms of books, 55% of postgraduates considered the range of books to be very good, which significantly higher than the 28% reported by undergraduates. Conversely, the smaller percentage of postgraduates (12%) rated it “very bad”, compared to 22% of undergraduates. Moreover, around one-third of postgraduates and exactly half of undergraduates expressed the range as “satisfactory”.
Concerning non-printed materials such as video, CD and DVD, the trend was reversed. More than half of undergraduates (52%) considered the resources “very good”, nearly doubled the figure of postgraduates at about 27%. Meanwhile, “very bad” rating in both postgraduates and undergraduates were similar, at about 25% and 23%, respectively. The response of “satisfactory” was most common assessment among postgraduates, representing 48%, while only 25% of undergraduates felt the same.
