The bar graph above demonstrates the percentages of daily intake calories by junk food in both men and women from various ranges of age, 18 to 65, in 2015. Noticeably, the rate of consumption tends to fall along with the increase of ages, interestingly, sex has no impact on this. However, men seems to consume higher amounts of energy than women, in every groups.
It is unarguably that adolescents group get the highest amount of fast food, in both men and women, with the proportion of 17% and 15% respectively. Following by the middle and upper middle age group ; 35-49 years old and 50-64 years old, those two groups provide similar trends, nearly 9-10%.
The elderly has the lowest intake of energy by those processed foods, contains mostly at only 5% , it is dramatically difference between this group compared to the younger individuals.
