It is clear that there was the biggest rise in the percentage of metal between 2000 to 2010. Overall, a small fluctuation occured in the porprotion of cans over the 10-year period.
In detail, a steady growth experienced in the percentage of plastic from 2000 to 2005, with the figure increasing by only 1%, while the percentage of paper and that of metal rocketed by around 3% and 8% respectively. Considerably, the year 2005 marked the point when a rapid jump took place in these three types. The percentage of metal took precedence at approxiamtely 40% in 2010, while the figures for plastic and paper reaching less than around 30%.
By contrast, there was a fluctuation in the porprotion of cans during the ten years. A slight fall could be seen over a 5-year period, with the percentage dropping from 13% in 2000 to 12% in 2005. Dramatically, the percentage soared by 12% after 2005, peaking at 35% in 2010.
