The given graph above illustrate the amount of potatoes, pasta and rice consumed by the people in a European country during the years 1976 and 2006. The data spans a period of 30 years and the amount are shown in grams.
Overall, there are big changes with all of the three food. Judging by the figure, it is evident that the people from a particular European country have a change in their eating habit and preference.
Going first with the Pasta which had received a massive popularity over the period as the figure climbed rapidly from approximately 260 grams in 1976 to its peak at 500 grams in 1996 where it remained constant afterward until 2006. Unlike the Pasta which figure rose, the figure of Potatoes experienced a fall. It started at roughly 410 grams in 1976 and reached its peak at approximately 450 grams in 1981. However, the figure declined after the year 1981 and eventually fell to a minimum of 100 grams in 2006.
The consumption of rice also fell to its minimum in 1991 at 180 grams from 300 grams in 1976 and it stayed stable at 180 grams over the decade. Onward the year 2001, it increased about 25 grams and reach at 205 grams in 2006.
