The table depicts the average retirement age of two genders in six different countries in 2003. Overall, men ranked first in all countries in given years. While Korea experienced the highest age in both men and women.
Regarding males, Korea was the most popular retirement age at 68 years and 8 months. This was followed by Japan, the US, and Australia at over 67.4, 65.6, and 64 respectively. Additionally, Italian and France citizens who retired from work were younger at the age of roughly 58 and 57 and 4 months
In terms of females, Koreans accounted for the highest average retirement age at 67 and 2 months, which was precisely a year older than that of the Japan. It can be seen that women in the US, and Japan who entered pension phase had no more than 64 years. Whereas, the figures for Italy and France were fairly comparable at around 57 years old.
