The graph given illustrates the teaching hours per year done by each teacher in four different nations in 2001Overall, Japanese and Spanish primary amd lower secondary teachers share similar statistics. Whereas Ireland’s and USA’s have almost the same ranking in terms of time spent teaching.
In a closer inspection, Japanese primary and lower secondary teachers all spent exactly 600 hours yearly which is identical to Spanish teachers in the primary and lower secondary section. The major difference between the two is Japan’s and Spain’s upper secondary teachers proportions, in which Spain have 300 hours more than Japan
Moving onto Irelan, the secondary teacher are almost tied to eachother with lower secondary having a 10 hour advantage over the other. Whereas in the USA, the opposite is trueas lower secondary only having 1090 and upper secondary 1100 hours of teaching. It should also be mentioned that only USA’s primary teacher spent more than 800 hours of teaching, in contrast to the others 600 hours to be exact.
