The table compares date of oil production in four African countries between 2000 and 2004. Units are measured in barrels.
Overall, it is evident that Nigeria, Chad and Cote d’lvoire increased its oil production, with an exception Congo which showed decline at the end of the year before a remarkable increase.
In 2000, Nigeria ranked the highest production with an impressive 2,000,000, followed distantly by Congo at 280,000. Coming to 2004, Nigerian oil supply levels grow by 200,000, wheras Congo that of which experienced gradual decline with 205,000.
As far as Chad oil output is concerned, different patterns could be observed. In year of 2000, that country reamained unchanged until 2002, which then drastically growed to 290,000 after two years. Meanwhile, Cote was falling behind with negligible 8,000 barrels in 2000, where oil industry doubled the amount in 2004, it showed in the first year.
