Overall, the consumption of margarine drastically declined from about 10 lbs to just below 2 lb in 2020 years, whereas, intake of butter gradually escalated from roughly 4 lbs to 6 lbs per capiata in 2020.
It is evident that margarine was by far the most popular type of diary product in 1980 year with consumption of 10 lbs per capita. However, Margarine deemed as less consumed product in 1980 about 4 lbs per person.
Having said that, between 2000 and 2010, something striking feature occured. Despite being dominat product in 1980 year, Margarine, followed opposite trend, went down from about 10 lbs to 4 lbs per person and become less favored in the United States. Nevertheless, Butter outstripped the rival group and become the prevelant product with just 5 lbs per capita in the United States.
To sum up, both categories experienced the trend. Margarine, immensily declined between 4 decades and ended the period in 2020 year reaching its lowest peak about 2 lbs per capita. However, when it comes to butter, it slightly went up during given period reaching its climax point about 6 lbs pre person.
