Overall, consumption of butter show slightly increase whereas margarine are experienced a dramatic decrease throughout the period.
In 1980, the number of per person consumption of butter is around 4.5 lbs while the margarine is more higher than butter which is 10, means people use margarine more than butter. Besides that, we can see that butter reach a low in 1990 at 4lbs but still continue to climb ater that.
From 2020 onwards, butter uplift to 6lbs better than on 1980. Nevertheless, margarine drop dramaticly to compared with the other year which is 2lbs. Consumption of margarine literally crash throughout the year between 1980 until 2020.
In conclusion, to compare consumption of butter and margarine, publics chose butter eventhough in the first year butter had a slightly decrease but still shot up till the end of the period. On the contary, publics only chose margarine for the first year and then fall rapidly until 2020.
