The number of women workers stood at 37%, in 1971, in UK workfore. In the next years, the percentage of female workers rise gradually just above 40%, followed by a more steady increase showing 45% in 1990, and stayed at this ratio for the coming years. 2010 experienced a more moderate growth and hit a high of 47% to finish the period.
In the contrast to women, there were no workers above 50 at the start of the period. Individuals above 50 just appeared in 1990, showing only 21% almost half of women. In 2000, more people participated in work places, and the proportion rose slowly to 25%, followed by a more steady climb, and reached just below 30% in the next years. The next years saw a slight hike in the percentage of employees, while ended the period at 32%, which was 11% less than female employees in UK workforce.
