Generally, it is evident that all devices’ figure followed an increasing trend during the period. It is note-worthy that CD player consistently took the first position.
Examining the chart, as for 1997, the CD player’s figure dominated the counterparts with 60%, then it was 20% up in 2001. Similarly, there was 40% of UK households possessing computer in the initial year. After a decade, its share reached 70%. Regarding telephone, its proportion contributed for a fifth. By 1997, it rapidly accelerated and surpassed the computer (75%).
Shifting to the remaining details, in terms of DVD player, despite the small drop in 1980, the figure continuously increased to a half in 2001. Finally, the rate of internet in the UK showed a substantial climb, from fraction to over 50% over a decade.
