The bar graph describes the percentage of gender distribution observed in executive positions of ACME Oil Company for a 12 month period starting from July 1993.
About seventy five percentage of women were on the payroll for the lower grade office position, grade E. This role has the highest percentage of women employees in the entire company. In contrast, only about ten percentage of women were employed for grade A, which is a highest grade executive position. As the executive positions increases to a higher grade, the female demographic representation was drastically reduced.
The lower executive level grade E comprises of about thirty percentage male employees. Grade A executive position was mostly comprised of men, about ninety percent of employees were men, making this the a male dominated position. A dramatic increase in employment of men for higher paid position was observed throughout the graph, the least difference between the men and women found in a job category exists in the category of officer grade C, which is middle level executives. Here the women representation is about 45 percent and men represent about 55 percent of workers in this category.
