The line graph compares the percentage of people who aged 65 or above in three countries throughout the period of 100 years with some predictions.
It is clear that the percentage of aged population in USA and Sweden rose dramatically till 2020, while in Japan this proportion remained nearly stable. However, in 2040, population in all 3 countries is likely to rise at dramatic range.
In 1940, the figure for older people in America was the highest one compared to two other countries, just under 10 percent, while for Scots, figure showed just above 5 percent. In the period from 1980 to 2000, the proportion of elderly people from Scots overtook Americans’ aged people as the secondary figure. Additionally, Sweden and USA people who aged 65 or above would rich their peaks in 2040, with just above and just fewer than 25 percent for each respectively.
The line for Japanese elderly people was at 5 percent in 1940, before seeing a slight increase from 5 percent to just above it in 2020. However, it is anticipated that amount of population who aged 65 or above in Japan is likely to increase drastically till 2040, from just above 5 percent to approximately 25 percent by becoming the primary country of elderly people.
