Overall, all lines have witnessed almost the same trend in the given period. Japan remained steady for some time then sharply increased, while Sweden and USA levelled out.
In 1940, USA had the highest proportion at about 8%, while in Sweden it was approximately less than 2% (6%). Finally, in Japan where it was only 5%.
From 1940 to 2040, the proportion of USA old aged people until 1980, dramatically increased from about 8% to 15%, then reduced in numbers from 15 to around 13 percent and it expected to be amount of over 20% further in the future. Next, is Sweden its trend drastically increased in two – fold from 6 to 13 percent, then suddenly in the mid of 2000s and it expected to rich 25 percent in 2040. Finally, Japan’s trend remained steadily until 2010 with 5% and it is foreseeable that Japan’s trend will be the highest among others with just under 30% in the later on
