The bar chart provides information regarding the number of people who visited six different art galleries across the globe in 2011.
Overall, the Louvre in France was the most popular destination for visitors among all the galleries listed. By contrast, the State Hermitage in Russia attracted the fewest visitors. It is also clear that the top three galleries saw significantly more traffic than the bottom three.
In terms of attendance, the Louvre welcomed nearly 9 million visitors. This was followed by the Metropolitan Museum in the USA with about 6 million visitors, while the British Museum in the UK recorded slightly fewer, at around 5.5 million.
Turning to the less visited galleries, the National Museum of Korea had a lower attendance of about 3 million. The figures for the Museo del Prado in Spain and the State Hermitage in Russia were very similar, with both receiving 2.8 million and 2.7 million visitors respectively.
