The graph displays the quantity of people who visited various art galleries in six countries in 2011.
Overall, it is discernible from the graph that while the number of visitors to art galleries in the Louvre was the highest, the places with the fewest visitors to art exhibitions are the National Museum of Korea, Museo del Prado, and the State Hermitage. Notably, after its amount to the Louvre, the number of visitors to the Metropolitan Museum and the British Museum is average.
As is shown, the highest number of visitors, around 8.8 million, was at the Louvre in France, approximately double – compared to the Metropolitan Museum and the British Museum, exactly and just under six million respectively. The dissimilarity between the Louvre and the two museums mentioned above is huge; the combination of the number of visitors to the Metropolitan Museum and the British Museum is just three million more than the Louvre’s numbers.
In contrast, the attraction was significantly lower in terms of visitor numbers for art exhibitions at the National Museum of Korea, Museo del Prado in Spain, and the State Hermitage in Russia, with the numbers slightly above, around, and steadily under three million in turn. These numbers were roughly half the amount – compared to those museums in the USA and UK and a third of the number of the Louvre.
