Overall, what stands out from the charts is that the highest percentage of students chose the university for relation to industry, proximity to home, and reputation of staff. By contrast, fewer students chose other reasons for choosing the university.
Looking at the charts in more detail, all students liked the university for its relation to industry and reputation of teaching staff; this was 4% to 20% and 2% to 12%, a rise of almost one in ten students, respectively. However, Derrifod University was liked by teenagers (36%) and adults (39%) for its proximity to home.
On the other hand, teenage students liked the university for its campus facilities (14%), and adults liked it for the same reason (12%, while the percentage of 18–24-year-old students who chose the university for course offerings and opportunities to study abroad as part of course was 35% and 9%, respectively. Subsequently, it saw a bigger fall—almost 11% and 6%—among 25+-year-old students, respectively.
