The line graph shows a relationship between age and crime in the UK last year and the pie chart represents the type of these crimes and the percentage of the occurrences.
First of all, it is clear to see that the crime rate is higher than 60 tens of thousands for ages between 16 and 24, with 20 years old being the age of maximum crime rate, with 80 tens of thousands crimes. Below the age of 8, there is almost a null crime rate and above 28 years old the crime rate decreases almost constantly until the age of 60.
In the pie chart, we can see that 46% of these crimes were violent crimes, 23% were property crimes, 22% were drug crimes and only 9% were public order crimes.
Overall, kids below 8 years old do not usually commit crimes and young adults are the ones who tend to commit more crimes, and the majority are violent crimes. After ageing, people reduce the crime rate, probably because the ones who did any crime were already punished for that.
