The line graph demonstrates the percentage of cinema attendance in four age groups between 14 to 54 in the UK from 1990 to 2010.
Overall, the older generation age groups (from 34 to 44 and from 44 to 54) preferred to attend the cinema more than younger aged groups (from 14 to 24 and from 24 to 34) in the UK during the whole period.
The obvious feature was that both older age groups were at the same level of attendance, standing at nearly 38% in 1990. However, in following years, these groups experienced sharp fluctuations, growing up from 31% and 38% respectively to 42% and 51% between 2000 and 2010.
The younger age group, who were less interested in going to the cinema, had a similar pattern of attendance rate. The first group (from 14 to 24) stood at exactly 15%, whereas the second group (from 24 to 34) recorded 25% approximately. After 2000, the younger generation groups began increasing, reaching just above 20% and 30% in 2010.
