Overall, Cyberium was the most popular disc among gamers from February onwards, while the opposite was true for IGN, but over a greater period. In addition, Bioshock Infinite and Pokémon Platinum were the most attractive types of games in the year examined.
Regarding video game discs, starting at above 2500 products in January, the quantity of game stop and ubihard discs experienced a non-stop decrease over the following 4 months, with respective figures being 1200 and 1400 in April. In contrast, the figure for cyberium began lower, at about 1700, after which it increased significantly by nearly 1000 and surpassed ubihard and gamestop discs in February, before keeping rising to 3200 in April. Meanwhile, the number of IGN products was lowest during the period shown, at only 1000, followed by several fluctuations but remaining at the initial point.
In terms of games with the highest sales, approximately 30% of Bioshock Infinite and Pokemon Platinum were purchased in 2014, twice as many as those of Assassin’s Creed Unity and Far Cry 3 in turn. Additionally, Other games accounted for the least percentage, with 13%.
