The line graph displays the proportion of travels different types of transport in one region from 1985 to 2015. Overall, all figures fluctuated, except for other transportation, which showed no variation. Notably, the proportion of car travel was highest throughout the period, while that for others stood last. Additionally, while bus was dominant initially, car emerged as a new leader at the end.
In 1985, car usage accounted for around 30% of travel, but this figure increased sharply, reaching a peak of about 85% in the early 2000s. Although, there was a slight decrease afterward, cars remained the dominant mode, finishing roughly 70% in 2015. Bus travel, which started at over 50%, experienced a continuous decline, dropping significantly to less than 10% by the end of the period.
Ravel travel began at approximately 15% and fluctuated slightly in the earlier years. However, from around 2005 onwards, there was a gradual upward trend, with rail reaching around 20% by 2015. The use of other transport types remained the least significant, consistently under 10% with minor variations throughout the 30 year-span.
