The maps illustrate the changes that have taken place in the Science park from 2008 till the present day. Overall, this park has witnessed a dramatic transformation during this period, becoming noticeably less green and more modernized in infrastracture with the construction of new facilities and roads , while some key features have remained relatively unchanged.
In 2008, ,,Science,, was a simpler park, with key features including mainly grassland and woodland in the north-west and south-west, respectively, and business units between them. The city also had car park, cyber security and IT centre adjacent to the city center, with the traingle shaped location. In the northern side of the park, there were offices and reception which could be accessed with small pathes to the road runing from west of the park and added to the road from nearby the top right side of the park to the east. Railway could be found which covered the southern part of the park.
In the present day, Science park has seen extensive development. The most noticeable changes include the grassland cutting down to make a way for the construction of research and development centre. Another noticeable change is that reception and IT centre have been converted into university hub and innovation centre, respectively. The cycle path has been constructed along the road. Additionally, cyber security has been expanded in the giver period. The last development has occurred in the park is that, station has been built on the railway while there was special path that associated all building.
Despite these changes, certain key features have remained unchanged. The business units and car park still stand near in the centre of the park. All woodland also stood at its place until the year 2008.
