The maps illustrate how the science park has changed from 2008 till today. Overall, the park has undergone significant transformation. It used to become more urbanized and serve smaller number of people; however, following its redevelopment, the park has become eco-friendly, with new recreational facilities being introduced. Notably, the introduction of research and development has caught the appeal of visitors.
In 2008, the park become family-oriented area, with limited facilities. Upon entering from west side of the map, there was woodland located on the right hand, and business units on the left hand. The grassland could be found on the south-western corner of the map. The railway situated on the north-eastern corner of the map and adjacent to which was cyber security. Additionally, the IT centre featured below the cyber security. Notably, the car park situated between cyber security and business units. Ultimately, the offices and reception located north-western side of the map.
Since then, the science park has significantly transformed. The most notable change is the introduction of research and development, came at the expense of disappearance of grassland. The station has been introduced, which resulted relocation and expansion of the cyber security. The IT centre has been replaced by innovation centre. Additionally, the university hub has been introduced, which resulted in the disappearance of the reception. Ultimately, the business units, car park, offices and woodland maintain their original level.
