The given maps illustrate significant improvements in an Australian beach front in 1950 and now/ between the year 1950 and the present. As is observed, this site has experienced an urbanization process, with a series of newly – built facilities. Conversely, the outdoor seating and the pavilion on the upper part and the light house as well as the 25-meter pool nearby have remained the same.
At the north – western corner, the children’s playground is demolished to make way for a new car park, which provides more convenience for visitors to this beachfront area by private vehicles. One striking point is the extension of the main road along the eastern boundary, ending at the light house. In 1950, both swimming pools were 25 meters long while the one on the left of the beach is now upgraded to 50 meters in length. Another unremarkable feature, on the western the new surf club and the restaurant has been built, which provides surfing services and meals to attract travelers to boost tourism development.
Despite numerous modifications, on the eastern side, the car park, 25 meters long pool and lighthouse stay untouched. Another remaining point is the bench beach and the pavilion.
