The given maps demonstrate how the layout of an art gallery’s ground floor has changed from 2005 to the present day.
Overall, the building has witnessed some changes with the addition of new rooms and amenities, as well as access for the disabled.
In 2005, there were a total of 4 exhibition rooms in the building; the first three were located on the right-hand side, and exhibition room 4 was on the west side, next to the main entrance. While exhibition rooms 1, 2, and 3 remained unchanged, the fourth exhibition room has been divided into a children’s area and an area for temporary exhibitions. The gallery office located behind exhibition room 4 has now been removed and made to become a part of the entrance hall. This area is now equipped with a vending machine for use by visitors.
On the left-hand side of the stairs, the gallery’s café has been converted into a gallery shop, albeit with more limited space. This is due to the installation of a new lift on the right side of the staircase. Additionally, the receptionist desk has been relocated closer to the main entrance, along with a new addition of external wheelchair access next to the entrance.
