A similar modification was observed in the conjunction of the two motorways and the vicinity of the lake. Only private houses just the northern-west corner of the town remained untouched over the years.
In terms of the other bank of the river, to the north of the seaside resort, a school and hospital situated next to it left completely untouched. On the contrary, woods on this side of the town were cut down to introduce an airport and housing zone. While the both a car park and house were not changed, a brand-new factory was erected just the south of the riverbank. Additionally, a railway was extended, and a ferry boat was introduced in order to ease transportation.
