The given diagram describes a previous layout of the Liverton docks in 1980, as well as the way it appears at the present.
Overall, the area underwent a number of changes, the most important of which was the transformation from an actively functional port to a modern one with the addition of new amenities, at the expense of transportation-related facilities.
As can be seen from the diagram, two warehouses in 1980 are now converted into an education center and a kid’s playground in the northern part of the harbor. These places flank a sailing club constructed recently. Such developments have resulted in the demolition of two old cranes located alternately with the two warehouses.
Moving on to the remaining area, there used to be another crane and warehouse on the opposite riverside, but they were then demolished to make space for a hotel and a block of apartments with a parking lot built adjacent to it. Along the south riverbank, there is an addition of a novel pedestrian path which can be accessed from the gates of the hotel and the apartments. The east of the river also witnessed significant changes, with the construction of a new bridge and flood barrier spanning it. Eventually, a ship museum in the form of a large ship floating on the river has been established while multiple transport boats have been decommissioned.
