Dear Mr. and Mrs. Collins,
I am so glad you invited me to a surprise party for Chris. I think this is a great idea because he told me he hasn’t celebrated his birthday since he was a kid. The party would be so much fun because Mrs. Collins is a great party organizer. I remember that 50th birthday a few years ago, we were served varieties of food, cakes, and mocktails. I can’t forget the music as well. Apart from Mrs. Collins being a great organizer, since it’s Chris’s first surprise party, it will be an emotional event for him, and I’m sure he is going to make great memories from the event.
Sadly, I won’t be able to attend the party because I have a church program on the same day, which is very important that I attend. A guest pastor is coming to town, and I take my religious activities very seriously.
Furthermore, to make up for my unavoidable absence, I would like to celebrate with Chris on the next weekend after the party. I would make a dinner reservation at a Chinese restaurant in Ikeja for 9 p.m. I can’t wait to meet up with Chris and give him his birthday gift. Once again, I am sorry that I am unable to meet up, which makes me unhappy because I would miss the event. Videos from the event would be appreciated. Thank you so much for the invite. I wish you a successful event.
Best regards,
Aisha.
