The pie chart illustrates the number of U.S. adults who shopped online in 2015. However, the line graph illustrates the shopping preferences of U.S. adults who also purchased online in 2015. Units are measured in percent.
Overall, the pie chart shows four different times when adults shop online. While the line graph demonstrates four different times, it also shows the difference between two types of shopping—online and physical—in 2015.
On the one hand, the pie chart demonstrates that statistics about “less often” and “a few times a month” had decreased; “less often” shows 37 percent and “a few times a month” shows around 28 percent. Secondly, times as “never” and “weekly” had increased. “Never” shows 20 percent in the given period, and “weekly” shows 15 percent in this period.
On the other hand, the line graph illustrates statistics about online shoppers, as: ” all online shoppers”, “weekly online shoppers”, “monthly online shoppers”, and “less frequent online shoppers”. First and foremost, “less frequent” and ” all online shoppers” statistics about buying in physical stores had increased; “all online shoppers” shows around 60 percent buying in physical stores and 30 percent buying online. However, “less frequent” shows one of the most increased statistics, at 80 percent buying in physical store and around 20 percent buying online. Secondly, statistic about “weekly online shoppers” illustrates 60 percent buying online and 30 percent buying physically. The statistic about buy online had considerably increased. Additionally, “monthly online shoppers” statistic about buying in physical stores had slowly decreased to around 60 percent. However, buying online had increased to 40 percent.
