The pie charts illustrate the percentages of the day spent by working adults on various activities in a particular country in 1958 and 2008. Overall, the adults spent their time in working increased, whereas the adults are going out with friends/family declined over the fifty years. In addition, they spent their time in sleeping declines.
In 1958, adults spent their time in working stood at 33% of the day. Sleeping represented 32% of the day. However, travelling to work indicated only a small proportion of the day spent by working adults in 1958.
Looking at the data for 2008, playing sports and travelling to work both followed the same pattern and saw declines. Most strikingly, the adults spent their time to do their job comprising 42% of the day in 2008.
