The pie chart illustrates five different social media platforms (namely Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and Pinterest) in three years: 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Overall, it’s clear that in all three years given on the charts, Facebook utilization was preferred by the highest percentages of people. We can also see that a small proportion of people chose the Pinterest social media channel.
In 2011, Facebook was the most favorable social media channel chosen by 59% of people, while this figure for Twitter and LinkedIn was 21% and 10%, respectively. Google Plus and Pinterest got the same proportions in this regard from 5% of people.
By 2012, using Facebook had decreased by exactly 10% to 49%, whereas the percentage of people who were using Twitter had increased by 2%, reaching 23%. The other three social media applications were used by around 6% to 12% of people.
Turning to the last year, 2013, for 38% and 25% of people, using Facebook and Twitter were found to be pleasurable. By contrast, two other platforms, LinkedIn and Google Plus, got 15% and 14% of people in this term, with a 1% difference between them. Finally, by 2013, Pinterest usage had increased by 3% from 2011, reaching 8%.
