Further, people also started to use other platforms such as twitter, linkedin, google+, and pinterest as their portion have increased at an increasing rate.

Subsequently, in 2012 onwards, an unexpected trend was noticed as people preference for facebook decreased to 49%. Additionally, it was just under 40% for the year 2013.
