The two maps show the transformation of a Natural history museum between 2010 and 2013.
Overall, the Natural history museum has become more divers and visitor-friendly with the introduction of a range of new facilities. It is also clear that the majority of the changes took place to the right side of the historical museum while middle of the map remained intact.
Focusing on the 2010 plan, access from the bottom, with a Lobby behind which was Ocean Hall to the front and a Ticket desk to the left. While the garden located to the right side of the map, the Mammals and Dinosaur Halls were on the other side.
In 2013, the garden made way for new residential areas which covered Shop, Café and Human Origins display. Where the Mammals Hall stood, there is now a new Ice Age exhibition and one corner separated for the Insects room. As a result, the Mammals Hall relocated to the beside of the Human Original display. However, other sections of the museum remain unchanged.
