The maps illustrate how the ground floor of a museum changed between 1990 and 2010.
Overall, it is clear that a number of major modifications were made to the ground floor of the museum. These include relocation of the statue, transformation of the archeology gallery and renovation of some other facilities.
Over the twenty-year period, there were some constitutions which remained unchanged, including the stairs at the northern side of the museum, the natural history room to its southwest side, the museum office adjacent to the room and the local history room at the other side of the office. However, the archaeology gallery covering the major right portion of the museum in 1990 was replaced by the children’s interactive zone and poster-display area after two decades.
The gift shop in 1990 was extended with the inclusion of a cafe in 2010. The reception counter infront of the museum office moved towards the entrance in 20 years and both got enlarged to about twice their initial sizes. The statue located beside the stairs in 1990 was shifted towards the center of the museum in 2010. Additionally, a new elevator was installed during the period to the west side of the ground floor.
