The pictures illustrate the transformation of the ground floor of a museum in 1990 and 2010.
Overall, the ground floor of the museum experienced several modernization with the development of some areas and the addition of new facilities.
In 1990, the gift shop was located at the top left corner of the map, but then was converted into a cafe and gift shop. There were stairs and the statue situated at the top of the ground floor. After 20 years, the statue was removed to the center of the map, while those stairs remained unchanged. A children’s interactive zone and a poster display area were built to the right of the ground floor, replacing the archaeology gallery. The entrance, which had been located at the bottom of the pictures, was expanded in width.
At the bottom left of the ground floor, the museum office was in the same place, while the reception counter was removed and enlarged to be separated from the museum office. Both the natural history room and local history room were unchanged on the left and right of the layout. Moreover, there was the addition of a lift sited between the cafe and gift shop and the natural history room.
