Overall, German people achieved the highest band scores in listening, writing, speaking skills and the overall band scores among the four nations. The band scores for speaking skills were higher than other skills in all the nations surveyed
While German scholars showed the leading score in listening at 6.8, Malay scholars’ score in listening was inferior to four other countries at only 6.2. In reading skills, Malay candidates achieved the highest score at 6.4. However, French and Indonesian scholars showed the lowest band scores at only 6.1. German people performed the more enhanced ability in writing at 6.6, while Malay scholars wrote worse than other countries at only 6.0
German students presented their strong point in speaking at 6.9, whilst French and Malay scholars revealed the lower band score in speaking among four countries at only 6.6. In the overall module, the most surpassed band score belonged to German students at 6.7. Conversely, Indonesian candidates underperformed in the IELTS tests at only 6.3 in the overall band score
