The shown table contrasts the data about five different transportation types recorded in Australia in different three years, 2010, 2012 and 2014.
Looking from an overall perspective, it can be clearly seen that all types of vehicles witnessed a rise during the period shown. While the figure for passenger vehicles always ranked top, but light trucks were at the bottom position. However, motorcycles underwent the quickest change in three years, they stayed in the middle position among other means of transport.
Looking at the most prominent transports during the time surveyed the passenger and commercial vehicles experienced a considerable elevate going from 11.8 million registrations to 13 million and from 2.3 million to 2.7 million records, respectively. The former inclined by 10.2% and the latter raised up to 17.4% saving their highest rate among the groups by the end of the period.
Turning to the remaining the last three groups, motorcycles registered rapid growth rising from 540.000 in 2010 to 709.000 in 2014. In contrast, the most insignificant change was recorded in heavy trucks, just elevating 8.30% through a four-year period. Finally, light trucks were the lowest registered compared to other types, beginning with 106.000 ending at 131.000.
